In partnership with IRUSA, Majlis Ash-Shura: Islamic Leadership Council of New York is assisting financially struggling families who have been impacted by COVID-19.

Many families are struggling to afford basic necessities and pay for rent and utilities. The Prepaid Program for Financially Struggling Families is a one-time giveaway of gift cards to assist families pay for groceries and household necessities. As many families are currently strapped for cash, every small form of assistance can alleviate financial stresses.

If your household falls under the following criteria, please fill out the application below and share with other families. Due to limited supplies of our prepaid cards, this program will serve families on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Live in New York
• Your household has experienced layoffs, went into unemployment, or has taken pay cuts/shorter hours
• Primary breadwinners in your household are undocumented citizens who have been unable to work
• Your household is not able to qualify for government aid (food stamps, unemployment benefits, etc). despite facing financial difficulty
• Your household is experiencing extreme financial difficulties due to loss of primary breadwinners through death or sickness

**Upon completion of application, you may be contacted to provide documentary evidence to demonstrate your financial difficulties.
