The annual award ceremony is back! Majlis Ash-Shura: Islamic Leadership Council of New York will be celebrating it’s 32nd Anniversary Virtual Gala along with celebrating Muslim New Yorkers who have dedicated time to serving their community. Help us in recognizing our committed leaders by nominating individuals who deserve appreciation for their extraordinary work.  Awards include Muslim New Yorker of the Year, Muslimah New Yorker of the Year, and Young New Yorker. We will celebrate their achievements during our Virtual Gala on Saturday, September 25th, 2021.

Nominations for all awards must be submitted by Friday, August 27th at 5 PM. Once nominees are selected, voting will commence from September 8-20 by 5 PM. Awardees will be announced on the day of the Virtual Gala.

Eligibility for Nomination:

• Must be a New Yorker

• Must be Muslim

• Must be an upstanding community member

• Must be 24+ for Muslim/Muslimah of the Year Award

• Outstanding Young Muslim nominees must be under the age of 24
